Auto component industry to showcase EV tech in the upcoming show

As the automotive industry is facing significant disruptions due to the emergence of new technologies like electric, hybrid and connected vehicles, the members of Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA) will focus on showcasing new technology and and innovation at the upcoming Auto component expo.

The theme for the upcoming show has been named ‘Technovation – Discover Innovations for the Future’.
This will be the first edition in which there will be a dedicated pavilion for components of electric vehicles.
As some of the vehicle manufacturers have decided to stay away from the Auto Expo, the number of participants in the component show has increased for the upcoming edition and the lobby group had to book 25% more space as a result.
Over 1500 companies from 20 countries will participate in the component show, according to a press statement issued by ACMA.
This edition of the component show will also witness participation from 24 startups. This is the first time startups in the mobility ecosystem will participate in the biennale show.
According to Deepak Jain, president, ACMA, the upcoming edition will not only showcase the component industry’s expertise on BS 6 but also in other important aspects like safety and aftermarket.
“We are going through a slowdown currently but in terms of space, we have booked 25% more space this time. We are committed to the national carousel of Startup India and Make in India. Besides showcasing traditional components the expo will give companies an opportunity to highlight their preparedness for future mobility,” added Jain.
